Ivedent Lloyd Claims O'Reilly Southern All Star National Championship
Cleveland, TN - Ivedent Lloyd of Ocala , Florida has laid claim to his first career O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series Championship. The five-time National Late Model Series Champion bested three time runner-up Mark Vineyard by just twenty-six points which was the second closest margin of victory in OSAS history.

Matt Miller Guest Stars in O'Reilly Southern All Stars Battle of Brunswick Victory
Brunswick , GA – Matt Miller, making a guest appearance in local car owner Merle Mixon's potent M&M Transport MasterSbilt South machine, raced by early race leader Earl Pearson, Jr. and avoided a multitude of lappers and a developing rear end problem to take the O'Reilly Southern All Stars Battle of Brunswick at Golden Isles Speedway. The sixty lap triumph was worth $10,000 and marked Miller's first career win with the Alabama based touring group.

With the “big track” across the street hosting a full weekend of racing, TST was given yet another opportunity to shine in front of what amounts to a national audience. And once again the venerable one third mile oval known as the “Hornet's Nest” did not disappoint. Shane Clanton, who ran as far back as fifth at one point, found new life after a late race restart and swept by Ronnie Johnson and Randy Weaver to take the $5000 payday.

MEMORIAL, $5,400., to win event. NEON Dion Deason of Greenwood, SC emerged victorious at the conclusion of the event Sunday night. The driver of the # D1 "Crazy Craig's Butt Crack Filler, James Art" sponsored, Rayburn chassis ProPower engines, Chevrolet Monte Carlo had never laid eyes on the GVS track, but commented on the instant familiarity of the 4/10 mile sweeping clay oval.
 
Michael Head, Jr. Memorial Trophy goes to Ronnie Johnson
Eastaboga, AL -- Ronnie Johnson is known for being late. Ronnie Johnson is better known for winning races. At Saturday night's 10th Annual Michael Head, Jr. Memorial event at Talladega Short Track the venerable Tennessee driver proved both of those once again. Johnson, not only arrived late and missed hot laps, but also slipped past Wendell Wallace in heavy lapped traffic and went on to take the win in the annual O'Reilly Southern All Star sanctioned event.

Rome , GA After an up and down two days prior to the O'Reilly Southern All Stars Thunder in the Mountains Finale, Jimmy Owens ended his weekend on a high note capturing his second win in the three race mini-series. Owens also took the win in the weekend opener at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth , GA but struggled after a poor qualifying effort at Cleveland (TN) Speedway on Saturday Night. Owens went on to a disappointing fourteenth place finish. However on this night Owens was able to redeem himself with a dominant flag to flag victory over Dale McDowell.

Huntsville, AL - Officials of the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series, North Georgia, Cleveland and Rome Speedways announced today incentives including bonus money and prizes for drivers participating the O'Reilly Southern All Star events scheduled for this weekend. The Twentieth Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Thunder in the Mountains Weekend is slated for Friday, July 13th through Sunday, July 15th. The promoters of the three tracks which will host the events have come together to offer the racers an additional incentive for racing in all three events. Pooler, GA – The O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series rolled into Oglethorpe Speedway Park on Friday evening for the second leg of the South Georgia Independence Triple Crown. Randle Chupp of Troutman , NC led all fifty laps at the Coastal Georgia half mile en route to his first O'Reilly Southern All Stars win since 2003.

Not to be outdone by his sixteen year old, Pennington took advantage of Randle Chupp's miscue and then led every lap of the Independence Triple Crown Kick-Off at Swainsboro Raceway on Thursday night.

Skip Arp: Worst to First in Dixie Speedway OSAS Action
Woodstock, GA -- Skip Arp of Georgetown, Tennessee reminded the huge crowd on hand at Dixie Speedway Saturday night exactly how he came to be known as ”The Professor” in dirt late model circles. Arp, aboard his GRT Race Car by Skip Arp, spun on the second lap of the fifty lap O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series Bill Ingram Memorial feature. Arp restarted twenty-fourth and proceeded to bypass twenty-two of the twenty-three remaining starters over the next forty-three laps. Arp then took the lead from race-long leader Randy Weaver with just three laps remaining to score his first OSAS win in nearly three years.
 
Rambo Collects Toccoa Speedway OSAS Cash - Becomes First Repeat Winner
Toccoa, GA - Dennis "Rambo" Franklin of Gaffney, SC set fast time and led all 50 laps of the O'Reilly Southern All Star event at The Toccoa Speedway on Friday night June 22nd. Franklin piloted the Barry Wright 30th Anniversary machine to his second OSAS win of the year and in turn became the first repeat winner with the Alabama based touring series this year. Franklin bested Benji Cole, Casey Roberts, Doug English and Johnny Collins at the track billed as "The Oldest Dirt Track in Georgia" and "The Fastest 5/16ths mile Dirt Track on the Planet". All twenty-seven entries started the event.
 
O'Reilly Southern All Stars Announce Date Changes
HUNTSVILLE, AL --  The O'Reilly Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will be making a few adjustment to the series schedule for the month of July as there will now be the return of the “Thunder in the Mountain Tour” as with Monty Morrow acquiring the North Georgia Speedway, the July 28th O'Reilly Southern All Star date has now been moved to Friday night July 13th, with Cleveland Speedway on Saturday night July 14th and the Rome Speedway on Sunday night July 15th.

Sylvania, GA The O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series will headline a card which will feature “late models” only this Saturday night May 26th at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. The event at “The Action Track of the South” will also feature the Southeastern Limited Late Model Series in a $2000 to win event. These will be the only two divisions of racing for the night.

Eastaboga, AL – Though he may be “semi-retired”, Dale McDowell has not forgotten how to wheel a race car. The 1994 OSAS Champion arrived at Talladega Short Track expecting only to act in his role for Richard Childress Racing's Driver Development Program. McDowell, who was mentoring Childress' grandson Austin Dillon, found himself in familiar digs and back in victory lane by the end of the night.

Lavonia, GA - The O'Reilly Southern All Star event that as rained out last Saturday night at the Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA., has now been rescheduled for Saturday night June 9th.  “We wanted to try and get these early rain out dates made up for our tracks, and we worked with the Lavonia officials and fund a date that would work with what they needed” said series general manager Lynn Acklin.
 
Lavonia Speedway O'Reilly Southern All Stars Event Postponed
Lavonia, GA - With a 100% chance of rain forecast in racing primetime, officials of the Lavonia Speedway and the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series have decided to postpone the Tax Day 50 event scheduled for Saturday night, April 14. The National Weather Service has predicted a 100% chance of rain between 8 PM and 10 PM.
 
Predicted Record Low Temps Force Postponement of North Gerogia OSAS Event
Chatsworth, GA -- An arctic low which is expected to blanket the southeast this Easter weekend has The National Weather Service predicting near record lows for the area. Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid to low twenties in most areas. With that in mind officials of North Georgia Speedway and the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series have made the joint decision to postpone their scheduled April 7 th event until a later date. The make up date will be announced in the near future.

Chatsworth, GA -- After a three week break the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series is set and ready to return to action this weekend. Event number five on the OSAS Silver Anniversary Tour will see North Georgia Speedway playing host to their first of three scheduled OSAS events in 2007 this Saturday night, April 7th. The fifty lap ‘Easter Weekend 50' at the Harris-Sutton Chevrolet promoted oval will pay $5000 to the winner.
 
Madden Survives Shamrock Slugfest for First Win of the Season
Cleveland , TN – Officially there were seven lead changes among three drivers but the lead certainly changed many more times. However two time and defending O'Reilly Southern All Star Champion Chris Madden held the lead on the lap that paid. After a wild battle with four-time Series Champion Clint Smith through the race's middle stages, Madden was able to fend off all challenges and score his first win of this young season.

March 7, 2007 - Carlson Race Photos, Inc. announced today the release of their new Internet dirt racing television station, Dixie Dirt TV, that will feature video from dirt-racing events from the across the South. Dixie Dirt TV will offer on-demand video broadcasts starting in early March and will continue throughout the 2007-racing season.

Gaffney , SC-- Clint Smith had a rough day on Saturday at Cherokee Speedway. Smith mired up his hauler in the middle of the new pit area and was unable to unload his car to get in some practice on the newly reconfigured 3/8ths mile track surface. Sunday proved to be a new day for the Senoia, GA driver.

SUPERBOWL OF RACING AT GOLDEN ISLES SPEEDWAY
(Brunswick, Ga – Feb. 3, 2007) - A full week of action packed racing at Golden Isles Speedway came to a close on Saturday night with one of the wildest shows fans have ever witnessed at the coastal Georgia speedway. When the final checkered flag fell it was Dan Schlieper, a.k.a. The Wisconsin Wildman, who stood in victory lane after the exciting 60 lap main event.

BLOOMQUIST BLASTS TO $10,000 WIN AT GOLDEN ISLES SPEEDWAY
(Brunswick , GA . Feb. 2, 2007) - Scott Bloomquist used an outside front row starting spot to launch a fifty lap victory journey around Golden Isles Speedway in Friday night's O'Reilly Southern All Stars Series main event. Bloomquist led wire-to-wire and held off a last lap charge by 2006 SAS-East Champion Dennis Franklin to take the win.
 
AMERICA'S SHORT TRACK RACERS GEAR UP FOR 2007 SEASON OPENER IN SUPER BOWL of RACING III AT GOLDEN ISLES SPEEDWAY
(Brunswick, Ga. – Jan. 19, 2007)  As the 2007 stock car racing season prepares for a new year of challenges and tests of speed, Golden Isles Speedway is ready to host its annual Super Bowl of Racing.  The roar of high horsepower stock cars will return to coastal Georgia to officially open the sports short track season leading into Speed Weeks as Golden Isles Speedway hosts four special nights of racing.
 
O'Reilly Southern All Stars Announce 2007 Schedule and Race Format Revisions
Huntsville , AL – Officials of the O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series announced today the release of their working 2007 schedule. The current schedule lists a total of twenty-eight dates throughout the southeastern United States . Additional dates are still pending on the planned thirty-five event schedule in what will mark the Alabama based touring series twenty-fifth season of dirt late model racing.
 
Don Hester to be Inducted into Southern All Star Hall of Fame
Huntsville, AL -- Soon the newly established Southern All Stars Hall of Fame will induct its third member. Don Hester of Tupelo , MS was the Alabama based touring series' inaugural champion in 1984. Hester, in his familiar red and white #327, picked up two wins that season. His first win came at his home track, Spencer Speedway, in Tupelo , MS. Hester also won at Glencoe , AL 's Green Valley Speedway. Hester bested the likes of Alabama legends Gene Chupp and Red Farmer to claim his only title.
 
O'Reilly Auto Parts Signs Back Up With Southern All Stars
HUNTSVILLE, AL — The O'Reilly Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series will continue its long standing arrangement with O'Reilly Auto Parts as it has signed on again for another year.
