 O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series Will Try Again At Cleveland Speedway

            

Huntersville, AL - The O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series has not had much luck with the weather this 2008 season as at all but two of the first seven events that have been weather related problems at all of them so far this season, and for three weeks the series tried to get the Shamrock 60 run before it was finally cancelled at Cleveland Speedway in the late part of the March.  So this year week the series will return to the Cleveland Speedway for the first time this year and be a part of the 31st Annual Coca Cola Tennessee Memorial paying $5,000 to win.

 

Drivers that are expected to be in action include the 2007 OSAS Series champion and current series points leader Ivedent Lloyd of Ocala, FL., along with the current Cleveland Speedway Driving School Rookie of the Year leader Jason Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, FL., along with Chatsworth, GA., driver Derek Ellis who is also running for the series rookie title, last years 2007 Rookie of the Year Stacy Holmes of Munford, AL., Chris Madden of Gray Court, SC., Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN., Anthony Hill of Carrollton, GA., Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN., Tony Knowles of Tyrone, GA., plus many more drivers from across the area.

Bodies: Teams are also reminded that beginning with the May 17th event the grace period for nose pieces, fender flares, filler panels and other amended body rules for the 2008 season has lapsed and penalties will begin to be duly administered.

OSAS Official Chris Rooney and his wife Tabitha were blessed with Michael David Rooney at 11:53 am on March 19th. The bouncing baby boy weighed in at 7lbs and 6oz and he was 21 inches long. He joins his 5 year old sister Kailyn.
 
OSAS Lead Tech Official Rusty Carlton and his wife Caroline added a second grandchild to their family at 5:03 pm on March 25th.  Carlton Luke Cooper is the newborn son of former Miss Southern All Stars Morgan Carlton and Fastrak Champions Series racer Lee Cooper. Luke joins Zadie Ann Rebecca Wilkerson who is the 3 month old daughter of Rusty and Caroline's other daughter Kristin and Chipper Wilkerson.
