Wendell Wallace Takes Last Lap Talladega O'Reilly Southern All Star Triumph

Eastaboga, ALAfter a pair of rain delays threatened to wash out yet another O'Reilly Southern All Star sanctioned event, Mother Nature finally granted enough of a window to complete the O'Reilly Auto Parts Cup Weekend Special at Talladega Short Track. Wendell Wallace of Batesville, AR was able to slip into the lead on the final lap while race long leader Tony Knowles was marred in heavy lap traffic. The win was worth $5000 to the GRT House Car pilot.

Benji Cole Dominates Toccoa Speedway O'Reilly Southern All Stars Event

Toccoa, GACannon, Georgia's Benji Cole made it very clear to the competition Saturday night at Toccoa Speedway - this is his territory. Cole, who started from the outside of the front row, launched his Dirty White Boy Chassied machine to the lead at the drop of the green flag and then proceeded to lead all fifty laps. Cole never faced a serious challenge in taking the victory that was worth $5000 at Georgia's oldest dirt racing facility.

Davenport Goes Flag to Flag for Lavonia Speedway O'Reilly Southern All Stars Victory

Lavonia, GAGeorgia wheelman Jonathan Davenport led every lap of the $5000 to win O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series portion of Lavonia Speedway's "Late Model Extravaganza" on Saturday night. Davenport, who drives the Beaver Motorsports Barry Wright Race Cars Monte Carlo, scored his second career OSAS win after starting from the outside of row number one. Davenport also went on to pick up the winners purse in the Fastrak Champions Series crate race later in the evening.

Bloomquist Two and Francis One in O’Reilly Southern All Stars Super Bowl IV 

Waynesville, GAScott Bloomquist grabbed wins one and two of the season in the opening O’Reilly Southern All Star sanctioned events of the Super Bowl of Racing IV at Golden Isles Speedway. Bloomquist picked up win number one on Wednesday night by leading all fifty laps from his outside pole starting position. Bloomquist outlasted protégé and two-time O’Reilly Southern All Stars Champion Chris Madden, Colorado’s Kelly Boen, three-time GIS winner Jimmy Owens and New York’s Tim Fuller for the $10,000 winner’s purse.

Lloyd and Holmes Collect O’Reilly Southern All Stars Hardware

Cleveland, TNIn a ceremony held at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland , Tennessee officials from the O’Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series crowned Ivedent Lloyd as their 2007 National Champion. Stacy Holmes also officially was named as the 2007 OSAS Cleveland Speedway Driving School Rookie of the Year. Several special awards were also handed out during the evening. The 2007 Race Car Sponsor of the Year was awarded to Shorty Bearden of Bearden Oil Company. Bearden has been a staunch supporter of the Southern All Stars and also supports multiple dirt late model teams throughout the southeast.

O’Reilly Southern All Stars Announce Host Hotel for Super Bowl of Racing IV at Golden Isles Speedway

Huntsville, ALOfficials of the O’Reilly Southern All Stars Racing Series (OSAS) are proud to announce that the Jekyll Island Ocean Front Clarion Resort will be th e host hotel for the upcoming Super Bowl of Racing IV OSAS events. The series will visit the 4/10ths mile coastal Georgia oval for three nights during the ten-night Super Bowl of Racing IV. All ten nights will pay $10,000 to the winner. The OSAS portion of the event begins on Wednesday night January 30th and concludes on Friday, February 1st.

O’Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series Adds $10,000 to 2008 Point Fund – Readies for Awards Ceremony and First 2008 Events

Huntsville, AL – Officials of the O’Reilly Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series announced today that they will increase their overall 2008 Point Fund by $10,000. “We are excited about this announcement. Our whole staff has really worked hard to infuse additional money into our 2008 Point Fund. We decided to add that money through the middle of the payout. But there is still a very good possibility that we will be adding even more to this $10,000. If that comes to fruition we will be adding money for the championship too.” said Series co-owner David Miller.

O'Reilly Southern All Stars Championship Awards Ceremony Set for January 12, 2008
Huntsville, AL - The O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series will salute 2007 National Champion and 2007 Cleveland Speedway Driving School Rookie of the Year as well as other special awards and the top ten in the final 2007 point standings in a ceremony to be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008. The festivities will take place at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tennessee. OSAS will also induct their latest Sothern All Stars Hall of Fame Member during the ceremony.
 
Ivedent Lloyd Claims O'Reilly Southern All Star National Championship
Cleveland, TN - Ivedent Lloyd of Ocala , Florida has laid claim to his first career O'Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series Championship. The five-time National Late Model Series Champion bested three time runner-up Mark Vineyard by just twenty-six points which was the second closest margin of victory in OSAS history.
